The pace of hardware and software development has evolved. SiFive is designing a RISC variant in one afternoon. Likewise, with a P4 to VPP compiler from us, one can get a new server product in few 10s of seconds it takes to compile P4 to VPP. VPP or Fd.io is vector packet processing donated by Cisco for faster packet processing on server machines. We are the first p4c backend to generate a VPP plugin from P4-16 code.
